The CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK et al

Lawsuit History

Still confused about the lawsuit between James Lloyd, Susan Lenox, Craig Portwood and Linda Kristich? Let’s take a simplified look as to how all this began...

  • The verbal assaults upon the character of Craig Portwood and Linda Kristich began in May of 2002 by CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK's "hosts" and by August, had expanded to international shortwave bands and world-wide internet forums.
  • James Lloyd dba CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK published a malicious undocumented work about Craig Portwood and Linda Kristich which was wrought with vicious lies and slander entitled, The Hidden Things of Dishonesty on October 18, 2002 both as an e-mail to CMN's customers and on the internet at the CHRISTIAN MEDIA DAILY website—a subsidiary of CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK.  Shortly thereafter, this work intent upon the character assassination of Craig Portwood and Linda Kristich, was expanded, retitled as the Rise and Fall of Craig Portwood and published under the banner of "Christian" Media "Research,"—which is also a subsidiary of CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK.  This "RESEARCH" site is largely devoted to undocumented gossip punctuated by Scripture, about those who do not agree with Mr. Lloyd's self proclaimed authority.
  • Craig Portwood bought a web site in February of 2003 called www.beaconoftruth.com  and began to publish his inspired work entitled, Lliars for the Lloyd to counter CMN’s pronouncements and publications, The Hidden Things of Dishonesty and The Rise and Fall of Craig Portwood.
  • JAMES LLOYD DBA CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK, SUSAN LENOX, AND KRISTIN LENOX all filed suit  against Craig Portwood in the summer of 2004, claiming defamation and interference with economic relations.
  • Craig Portwood filed a letter for retraction on August 1, 2004 but the lawsuit went forward. Craig counter-sued for $1.00.
  • In late summer/early fall of 2004, Linda Kristich sent three letters to JAMES LLOYD and SUSAN LENOX Doing Business As CHRISTIAN MEDIA formally asking them to retract their malicious, slanderous and false statements, they did not.

  • Fall of 2004, Linda Kristich was deposed three times, which totaled eighteen hours of hostile interrogation without any legal representation.
  • KRISTIN LENOX dropped her claims early 2005, when asked by Craig Portwood to answer questions under oath.
  • JAMES LLOYD DBA CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK AND SUSAN LENOX, retaliated by suing Linda Kristich in the spring of 2005, a former customer of CMN. Plaintiffs LLOYD and LENOX claimed defamation and interference with economic relations against defendant Linda Kristich.
  • Linda Kristich counter sued JAMES LLOYD DBA CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK AND SUSAN LENOX fall of 2005.
  • Linda Kristich bought www.avoiceofthechristianunderground.com in the late spring of 2005 to display documentation of LLOYD and LENOX’s persecution and to offer her opinions of the business known as CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK.

In Summary

JAMES LLOYD DBA CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK AND SUSAN LENOX through their "hosts"—

began the entire ordeal on the public airways in 2002, then CMN

began internet persecution on the CHRISTIAN MEDIA RESEARCH site in 2002 and

began the legal prosecution in 2004 and 2005,

all of which was tried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread 2007.

In this authors opinion, the jury sent a clear message that the case had no business in a court of law. CMN through their attorney legally banned a great deal of evidence from the court proceedings (details to come) subsequently all parties were deemed guilty of defamation by the jury and awarded no damages to any party.

However, James Lloyd dba Christian Media Network was the only side to have been found guilty of operating maliciously.

Because the jury found no prevailing party the Plaintiffs James Lloyd dba CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK and Susan Lenox got to pay all of their own attorney fees and pick up all court costs

All this from the Malicious Network that does business as CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK et al who successfully banned the Bible from the court proceedings, and the man that has emphatically claimed that he is a "Prophet [profit] of the Lord".
