This is a desperate letter that a Voice of the Christian Underground received and the response to it. Please pray for this lady that HIS will would be accomplished in her life:
"Please, please, please. I am a mother of four children and a wife to a man who has decided to follow after CMN and their beliefs. I am from a Baptist background but have come to serve God under the reformed Theology teachings of Sovereign Grace Ministries. Before my husband moved us almost 5 years ago we attended a church in Charlotte and it was there that he started listening to people like James Lloyd, although I am not sure when James came into the picture. He has stored up weapons, ammunition, hoards of food, and puts our money into gold and silver while my family lives in a home that is less than livable. This all started about 2 years before 2000 and ever since then I have watched as my husband has shut down socially except for those that share these views. Work has not suffered but I watch as our income goes for things that have no value to us as far as raising the kids. The greatest damage is in this, I don’t believe a single thing from CMN. Never have I taken to any of their beliefs and I have long since argued with my husband about this foolishness. Lately though, after we moved he has decided that our family will no longer attend any church that is 501c3. Further more if I attend I will be in rebellion to him. I was also instructed that it would be wrong for me to vote for any candidate that he didn’t agree with and again, I would be in rebellion if I did.
All this is only the tip of all that has been endured but recently there has just been a severe falling out between the two of us. I am imploring you to help me to help him understand why these beliefs of CMN are wrong. I battle because he refuses to talk about anything unless I can prove him wrong from scripture. This is difficult because scripture can be interpreted so many different ways and most pull it to mean only what they want. Do you now that the chat site cmnfolks on yahoo has members that most are going through divorces??? And it is their spouses leaving them for all sorts of reasons but mostly due to this CMN belief. It is a sad thing, and even more so because my marriage doesn’t look to far from following the same format. For the sake of my kids I need to try. I am sorry to hear of your troubles. It is people like your husband that make and have made the persecution of the saints possible. I too wish I could get through to him and people like him with my witness. I truly did defend the Bible in a court of law when Lloyd, Lenox and CMN dragged me before magistrates yet I was shocked to find that in the end only a couple of people cared. CMN is heavily supported by people who like "angry" Christianity and are so duped by the wrong spirit that they cannot or will not see the truth. Lloyd is a perfect anti-christ type character for he lures people away precept upon precept until they are so blinded by false doctrine that they refuse even the Holy Spirit to their eternal detriment. I am reminded of the passage in Luke wherein Our Savior witnessed to people with the following parable:
Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
It is as though my witness is just as ignored as Our Saviors for if people do not believe my witness nor Craig Portwood’s witness at www.beaconoftruth.com nor the witness of the court trials that Dave Wilson can supply, then—prayer is the only hope. Take comfort though, bad things have to happen to HIS people for the judgment to occur. One thing we have learned the hard way is that things don’t often go the way you expect them to. After slandering us Lloyd chose to take the matter before a jury. James Lloyd, dba CMN was judged by that jury to have slandered me with malice. Look up the definition of the word malice and compare that definition with the fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-26 and Ephesians 5:8-14. Craig Portwood, Dave Wilson and I were simply sent to present our witness to the truth and if people want to ignore our witness, then they are free to do so. Lloyd simply lies, denies and accuses, for one believes what one wants to believe because of the state of one’s heart.
Divorce is a very painful process not just for the adults but the children as well yet if you are in the Almighty’s will you have nothing to fear for He can bring you through anything. Another thing I learned in the "school of hard knocks" is that if you are in His Will there is nothing you can do to mess anything up for it all works for His Glory. Peace my sister, stay strong in prayer and see the power of our great and mighty I AM THAT I AM. My prayers are with you and your family that your husband’s eyes will be opened, however that may not be His Will. Another thing I learned the hard way was that we do our husbands poor service if we have not borne witness to them for it is not our job to meekly follow them into hell but to provide an example for all to see that we live our faith and humbly worship only the God of the Bible and all that He is.
